Mr. Parra is a trainer and consultant, who helps organizations to reduce costs associated with workplace disputes and trains to decrease the occurrences of legally liable interactions in the workplace. His areas of expertise include: Conflict Management, Critical Incident Management, Communication Skills, Organizational Management, Ethical Decision Making, Mediation Skills, Workplace Conflict, Crisis Divergence, Contingency Planning, Media Relations, and Strategic Crisis Planning.
Mr. Parra's professional experience includes service as a Captain with the Anaheim Police Department, a training instructor for both P.O.S.T. and S.T.C., and an adjunct professor at California State University, Long Beach and California State University, Los Angeles. Mr. Parra's background also includes practical experience serving as an Executive Coach for management, a Director of Training and a Vice President of Human Resources. Some of his clientele include: Disney Corporation, Boeing, MGM Studios, City of Los Angeles, and the City of Anaheim.
Mr. Parra trains, consults and fine tunes Executive Management, Human Resources and staff on recognizing workplace situations that have potential to escalate or become hostile. He teaches them how to prevent and defuse the situation rapidly. Jack teaches in a relaxed, non-threatening style calling upon his experience as a police officer and an Executive Coach to deliver material that employees and management can use everyday when dealing with increasingly diverse environments.
Mr. Parra received his B.A. Degree in Public Administration from Pepperdine University and his M. A. in Human Resource Management from Chapman University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and California Command College.
